Garden Class: Tree Selection and Care

Proper selection, placement, and care will allow your tree to grow to its fullest potential. Join Consulting Certified Arborist, Horticulturist and Licensed Pest Control Advisor Rico Montenegro, and Chief Arborist for the Fruit Tree Planting Foundation as he shares his expertise about tree selection, correct planting and cultural practices, pruning, disease control and care of older trees.

We will also talk about the impact on trees from the fire and how to identify whether a tree will survive. What steps to take to ensure the best recovery possible and when to decide to remove a tree. We will also talk about what trees to replant and which ones not to plant in fire-prone areas.

Free for Members & Turtle Bay volunteers/ $3 for Nonmembers
