Mars Insight Program

On Friday March 30, 9am-4pm, guests in the Museum at Turtle Bay can chat with NASA scientists and engineers, learn about Mars Quakes, and how InSight will study in-depth the "inner space" of Mars: its crust, mantle and core. Located in east end of the Museum. Also taking place on the same day will be a free public lecture at David Marr Theater, details below:

"The Insight Mission:  Journey to the Interior of Mars"

Dr. Hurst, mission scientist will discuss the various experiments onboard the Mars InSight and how the data collected will be used to further unlock the mysteries of the red planet!  NASA’s Mars InSight is scheduled to launch from the California coast to the plains of Mars on May 5, 2018 from Vandenberg Airforce Base! This is the first launch to another planet from the West Coast.
