Recycle Day at Turtle Bay

  • Turtle Bay Exploration Park 844 Sundial Bridge Drive Redding, CA, 96001 United States (map)

Start saving your recyclables for Recycle Day at Turtle Bay on Saturday, November 17 from 10am-1pm at the Museum Store & Coffee Bar patio. Let your friends and family members know that visitors who bring a bag of recycling will receive half-off admission to the park that day, plus each participant will be entered to win prizes from Turtle Bay! This is a great way to celebrate National Family Volunteer Day, too!

With the help of Terracycle, we will be collecting hard-to-recycle items and mailing them in for points. The more points we have, the more money Terracycle will donate to Turtle Bay.

Help us raise money for Turtle Bay AND take better care of the planet at the same time—it’s a win-win! Here’s what we will be collecting:

  • #6 rigid plastic cups & Solo cups

  • ANY size or brand of candy wrapper (save those Halloween candy wrappers), energy or granola bar wrappers, chip/snack bags, gum wrappers/blister packs

  • ANY size or brand of plastic bottle

  • ANY brand air freshener cartridges, plug-ins, packaging, trigger heads (no bottles, no aerosols)

  • Arm & Hammer and OxiClean pouches

  • Barilla Ready Pasta pouches

  • Bear Naked granola/granola bites bags

  • Burt's Bees lip, beauty, and personal care packaging

  • Entenmann's Little Bites & Minis packaging
