Summer takes flight with our longest running seasonal exhibit. One of Turtle Bay’s most popular exhibitions is returning for an eight week run.  Visitors view hundreds of butterflies in a tranquil, enclosed garden. Nestled in the Redwood trees of Wildlife Woods, the Butterfly House the coolest place in the park! Entrance into the butterfly house is FREE for members and included with Park admission. Release an emerging butterfly when chrysalis are available for $1 per person.

Turtle Day at Turtle Bay

Come meet the turtles at Turtle Bay as we celebrate World Turtle Day.  Whether in desert, forest or ocean, turtles are found almost everywhere.  This special turtle program will introduce you to diversity of the turtle world. Enjoy watching turtle races with a few of our turtle animal ambassadors and see the inside of a turtle shell at our education station. Free for Members / Included with Park admission.

Join us at Turtle Bay this Saturday, March 9 at 10:30am for a Meet & Greet with Peter Gros, wildlife expert from the original Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom! With over 30 years of field experience with captive wildlife and conservation, you’ll be sure to learn something new while having fun, great for all ages! Free for Turtle Bay Members / Included with Park admission.

Animal Show Opening Show

Join us for the Walk on the Wild Side Animal Show season opening on Saturday, May 5 at 11am and 12pm in the Forest Camp Amphitheater at Turtle Bay! Get a close look at some of our live animals as they demonstrate their own natural behaviors, including Sweat Pea the skunk, Spike the porcupine, Whisper the Bobcat, Ruckus the yellow-billed magpie, and many more. Free for Members / Included in Park admission.

Spike’s Birthday Celebration

Singing & Presents: 2:30 pm, Spike’s exhibit

Turtle Bay guests are invited to celebrate Spike’s 15th birthday party!  Spike is Turtle Bay’s North American Porcupine and the longest resident mammal at our park. Make a card for her to be displayed at her exhibit, then join us in singing “Happy Birthday”. Spike’s animal caretakers will be presenting her with gifts and a special cake that would make any porcupine’s day.
