Science Saturday: People of the Forest

Forests play an important role in our lives. We use forest products every day from the food we eat to the paper we use. Forests provide clean air, water, and economic opportunities. Join us and smokejumpers from the US Forest Service to learn about the art of crosscut sawing (and even give it a try!) and things you can do to help care for the natural resources around us. Come meet Smokey Bear and learn about fire prevention from 1 – 2 pm in the Museum!
