Turtle Bay offers various patch programs for Girl Scouts. During your visit, be sure to visit all Turtle Bay has to offer including traveling exhibitions, Paul Bunyan’s Forest Camp, and the Botanical Gardens & Arboretum. 

Participants of the program will receive a fun patch from Turtle Bay for completing the program. Brownie patch programs have a maximum of 60 participants. If fewer than 20 girls have registered two weeks in advance, the program will be cancelled and refunds will be issued. All participants must register through the Girl Scouts of Northern California website.

Forests, birds, fish and more!  Establish an appreciation and awareness of California’s North State region and its people through a self-led tour at Turtle Bay Exploration Park. Join us for the opening of our newest exhibition, Material Culture.  Explore the stuff we wear, sleep under, sit on, and use to insulate our homes. Upon arrival all participants will receive a booklet to help lead them through Turtle Bay. Complete your booklet and receive a Turtle Bay patch! This patch program is available for Girl Scouts of all ages.  

$12 per girl/$8 per adult

Home Scientist

10:00am – 12:00pm

By paying careful attention during experiments, scientists learn new things – even if they’ve done the test before. You’re a scientist every time you do an experiment! Join us to find out what kind of science is hiding in your home. Brownies will discover new activities about density and static electricity that they can try again at home. Brownies will earn the “Home Scientist” patch after this workshop. Open to girls grades 2-3.

Bugs

Become an entomologist and discover the world of bugs at Turtle Bay! Bugs help us in lots of cool ways. Explore the world of bugs and learn more about these little creatures that do so much. Brownies will draw bug posters, see bug collections, and explore bug homes! Brownies will earn the “Bugs” patch through hands-on activities and crafts. Open to girls grades 2-3
