Saturday Education Programs at Turtle Bay

Saturday Education Programs at Turtle Bay

Did you know that Turtle Bay’s Education department offers engaging and educational programming opportunities on three Saturdays every month? Saturday programs consist of drop-in activities that are fun and interactive, thanks to the Museum volunteers that facilitate them. These programs enhance our guests' visits by providing engaging and pertinent learning opportunities to learners of all ages. Saturday Education Programs support Turtle Bay’s mission by providing fun and facilitated activities, demonstrations, and experiments that help encourage guests to wonder, explore and appreciate the world around them!

Family Second Saturday

Family Second Saturday on the second Saturday of every month, is an all-ages (this includes adults!) educational program about anything and everything; sometimes science, sometimes art, sometimes culture! Family Second Saturday engages guests of all ages by encouraging creativity, inquiry, and exploration.

Science Saturday

Every third Saturday of the month, join our educators and volunteers for an interactive, interdisciplinary learning experience at Science Saturday! From exploring the minuscule miracles of nanoscience to the stars and wonders of space, Science Saturday programs are designed to enrich the guest’s Museum experience as we explore the natural world around us through experiments, demonstrations, and other hands-on activities.

Art Studio Saturday

Art Studio Saturday is our newest Saturday program and occurs on the fourth Saturday of the month. Art Studio Saturday is designed to foster creativity and agency by creating an open art space for guests. The program centers around a single art activity each month and provides all the materials needed to make a masterpiece. Guests can spend all the time they need making their art pieces, so, whether you want to take a quick art break or relax, get comfortable, and make your masterpiece, you can join us for Art Studio Saturday!
