Charlie Rabbit and His Friends features gardening and nature activities for young children, their siblings, parents, and grandparents. Have gardening fun and get your wiggles out in the Children’s Garden (or Greenhouse in rain). Wear your favorite gardening clothes!

Kool April Nites presents

Family 2nd Saturday

Every 2nd Saturday of the month, join our educators and volunteers for some family fun. Family 2nd Saturday programs enhance the visitor’s park experience by offering additional interactive opportunities. With hands-on activities and exciting demonstrations, everyone in the family has the chance to learn or try something new. With new themes each month, be sure to check the events calendar for more information!

  • Drop-in activities are available from 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. in the Museum.

Science Saturday

From exploring the miniscule miracles of nanoscience to the stars and wonders of space – we invite you to discover more every month at our Science Saturday. Science Saturday programs are designed to enrich the visitor’s museum experience as we explore the natural world around us through experiments, demonstrations, and other activities. Every 3rd Saturday of the month, join our educators and volunteers for an interactive learning experience; new topics are covered each month.

  • Drop-in activities are available from 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. in the Museum.

A Walk with the Horticulture Manager

Bring your notebooks and cameras for this participant-driven program. We’ll make our way through the Gardens with frequent stops for discussions about (what else?) plants!

  • A Walk with the Horticulture Manager meets at the West Entrance of the Botanical Gardens (located off Arboretum Drive) on the last Saturday each month at 10:30 a.m., unless otherwise noted.
