Helping You Make the Gift of a Lifetime
By carefully planning your estate, you can create benefits for yourself, your family, and your community. A legacy gift to Turtle Bay Exploration Park provides enduring support, allowing us the flexibility to respond to the greatest needs and opportunities in the years ahead. We are honored to partner with you in creating a gift that will have lasting impact.
Ways to Give
Below are a few popular ways to make a lasting impact. Should you have any questions, please call Joanne Crosetti at (530) 242-3153 or email jcrosetti@turtlebay.org
-
Make a gift that costs nothing during your lifetime.
Provide a gift of any amount (either by a specific amount or through a percentage of your estate) through a will or a living trust. Many charitable bequests can simply be added as an amendment to your will or living trust, called a codicil. To make a bequest, talk with your financial planner or estate planning attorney.
-
Retirement plan assets transferred tax-free.
Name Turtle Bay Exploration Park as the beneficiary of a retirement plan (IRA, 401k, 403b, Roth IRA, etc.) using your plan’s beneficiary form.*
-
Reduce your gross income for tax purposes.
Individuals ages 70 1/2 and over can make charitable gifts directly from a traditional IRA account without incurring federal income tax on the withdrawal. Contact your IRA adminstrator and instruct them to transfer funds to Turtle Bay Exploration Park*
-
Make a significant gift with little cost to you, leveraging a policy you own and no longer need.
Name Turtle Bay Exploration Park as the owner or beneficiary of a whole life or term life insurance policy, using your plan’s beneficiary form.*
-
Eliminate tax on capital gains with a quick, easy gift.
Contribute long-term appreciated stock or other securities such as mutual funds and ETFs.*
-
Secure income with potential for income growth. Create a trust, managed by a third party trustee. During your lifetime the trust pays you a fixed percentage of the trust's assets, and the remaining assets are donated to Turtle Bay Exploration Park.
-
Supplement your income with fixed payments that may be partially tax-free.
Work with a financial advisor to establish an annuity contract that benefits Turtle Bay Exploration Park.
Please consult with your attorney, accountant, and/or financial advisor to tailor a plan that meets your needs.
