Renowned American nature photographer Thomas D. Mangelsen has traveled throughout the natural world for nearly 50 years observing and photographing the Earth’s last great wild places. A Life in the Wild is 40 of Mangelsen’s most resonant images capturing everything from polar bears in the Arctic to elephants on the African plains. Rare in this era of staged photos and digitally manipulated images, his works are the result of his skill and patience at letting nature reveal itself and capturing perfect moments in the wild.
