Discover the unique partnership between cutting-edge western science and traditional indigenous knowledge in Turtle Bay’s newest exhibition, Roots of Wisdom: Native Knowledge, Shared Science, on display January 26 through May 5. Through the voices of elders and youth, storytelling, and hands-on activities, join the growing movement toward sustainability and the age-old ingenuity of indigenous practices. Roots of Wisdom is included with Park admission and free for members.

Throughout countless generations, Native Americans and Native Hawaiians have respected and cared for their homelands. Over many years living on the same land, they have made observations and gathered valuable knowledge of their local ecosystems. Each generation passes this knowledge to the next, helping their communities survive and thrive.
