Take visitors on a full sensory journey with Making Scents: The Art and Passion of Fragrance®, a traveling exhibit produced by The North Carolina Arboretum. Blending flora, fashion and fragrance, this interactive exhibit showcases some of Mother Nature's most aromatic botanicals and explores the artistry, history and science of fragrance using STEAM teaching methods.
Integrating horticulture, history, and pop culture, this exhibition curated by the North Carolina Arboretum inspires and educates visitors about the storied history and evocative power of scent. From natural ingredients to synthetic chemical combinations, visitors will uncover the technical processes behind fragrance creation. We recommend pairing this exhibition with a visit to our Botanical Garden.
