Mosaic Featured Artist: Amani Hanson
Amani Hanson is a contemporary painter known for blending realism with expressive abstract backgrounds. Her intuitive process and signature style use translucent washes, textured layers, and organic forms to explore the connection between seen and unseen.

In her From the Ruins series, Amani draws inspiration from nature and the Redding landscape—incorporating materials like red dirt, river water, and charcoal from the Carr Fire—to reflect beauty, resilience, and transformation. Passionate about creating impact, Amani also partners with nonprofits to support social justice causes through her art.

Originally from Canada, Amani now lives in Northern California with her family, continuing to create work that reflects the spirit of the places she’s called home.
