The Mosaic Gallery is a space that allows local artists to showcase their works to our community and visitors of the Sheraton Redding Hotel. The hallway connecting Mosaic Restaurant to the Sheraton Redding Hotel is currently filled with the artwork of Teri Strong, a classically trained artist based in Redding, CA.
Each time a new artist is featured in the Mosaic Gallery, we host a Meet the Artist Happy Hour event. This is a great opportunity to ask the artist questions and connect with other art lovers. Redding-based artist, Teri Strong, has spent the last five decades exploring impressionistic scenes, still life, animals, and all that inspires her. She is a classically trained artist that studied and apprenticed under Chilean Master Artist Luis Busta. Her work has been awarded and honored by the city of San Francisco.
Teri primarily works in oils because of the richness, brilliance, and depth that can be achieved through oil painting. Each of her pieces tells a story and beckons the observer to become lost in the atmosphere her work invokes. Teri believes that art should be about the way it makes a person feel and how it touches them on an emotional level. She is convinced that you can find inspiration and beauty even in what may be perceived as ordinary if you have the careful eye of an artist.
